Influenza and COVID Guidelines - May 2024

At Rocky Mountain Mind and Body, our top priority is the health and safety of our patients and team. We have, and will continue, to follow universal precautions to prevent the spread of any infectious disease and to keep our patients, families and team members safe.  We recognize the uncertainty surrounding this issue and we are committed to carefully monitoring the Center For Disease Control (CDC) as well as local and Colorado State Government health organizations, and have further elevated our already stringent cleaning and sanitation protocols.

If you have tested positive for COVID or any other sickness within 10 days of a scheduled infusion, we must reschedule your infusion and ask that you not enter the clinic.

Our facility undergoes rigorous cleaning procedures that would eliminate any harmful substance, whether it be COVID-19, Flu virus, germs, bacteria, mold, or any other particulate. The cleaning products we use to disinfect and sanitize the facility and supplies effectively eradicate these types of particulates. With that said, following are steps we are taking to keep all of us protected:

  1. Only patients with appointments and their accompanying support person will be allowed to access the clinic.
  2. Masks will be provided if needed and/or requested
  3. Providing online payment options to reduce the contact with any clinic point of sale equipment.
  4. Disinfecting high-touch surfaces throughout the clinic throughout the day and in-between each infusion.
  5. Providing hand sanitizer and soap to incoming patients and their accompanying support person.
  6. Instructing staff to wash their hands regularly, which has proven by the CDC to be the most effective preventative measure.
  7. Utilizing medical grade air filtration devices at all times in the clinic.
  8. Removing all high touch items in the clinic, such as the coffee maker from the beverage center. Bottled water will still be provided.
  9. Requiring patients who are feeling unwell to please reschedule their visits. Anyone entering the clinic with flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough or shortness of breath will not be able to stay if symptomatic.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. Thank you for your long-term trust in Rocky Mountain Mind and Body, we are indebted to you, our patients, for choosing us to be a part of your recovery. For that, we’re honored and grateful to be here for you!

Sincerely,

Steve Gittelman, CRNA
